Near Basingstoke are the faint traces of the Roman road running from #Silchester to #Chichester on the coast. If the troops of Constantius Chlorus marched inland in 296 it would have been along this route. This detachment of troops was lead by the Prefect Asclepiodotus pic.twitter.com/fFdYEep6AH
