#OnThisDay 80 yrs ago in 1945 the last 'service' launch from an RN carrier by a Fairey Swordfish took place from HMS OCEAN. Though HMS CENTAUR launched 2 in 1959 during the filming of Sink The Bismarck. In WW2 it destroyed more enemy maritime tonnage than any allied aircraft. pic.twitter.com/5kyXSWyiRl
