Sotomayor beclowns herself at a Supreme Court session by introducing a number of factual statements which are dramatically and incontestably wrong. Media try and cover but it is hard. Then CDC Director, Rochelle Wallensky corrects Sotomayor. Someone tweets
Holy crap I'm sharing a Daily Beast article that correctly cites Rochelle Wallensky correcting Justice Sotomayor's wildly false statistics about Covid and kids.

OK, its a mess. A Supreme Court Justice sitting in a hearing on a Covid case has a wildly inaccurate understanding of Covid. Director of the CDC, who in turn has a hugely checkered past in terms of factual statements, is forced to correct.
When I retweet, I get the Twitter notification

Which is their way of trying to tamp down the flow of information they don't like.
We as citizens are watching a dissolution of trust in our institutions as they collapse before our eyes. We are getting a much clearer picture that Covid has never been as serious as they made it out to be (many knew this from the start) and that the current variant is actually a gift in disguise - getting a cold and get immunity.
A Supreme Court Justice displays ignorance that is surprising to the informed and even to the average citizen. The media try to cover for her but unsuccessfully. The untrusted CDC has to step in to correct. And Twitter doesn't want this information to be accessible.
None of these guys seem to want to be members of a trust-based society. Astonishing.
