Exquisite gold & garnet cloisonné shoulder-clasps from the Sutton Hoo ship burial in Suffolk. Early-7th century AD. Two halves are held together by a pin. Curved to fit the shoulder. Each end is decorated with 2 entwined boars. Discovered during excavations in 1939.#Archaeology pic.twitter.com/LtoTRKYsuy
