You don't like income inequality? Wait till you try income equality.

Best of the Web is a long running column in the Wall Street Journal. While there is a substantive part to the column, it also has little snippets from other reports, papers, and websites, often focusing on humor, overworked metaphors, and other linguistic slips. They lead with their brief point and then follow with the quoted source.

I thought this was a particularly clever turn from yesterday's column.

For all the failings of the free market, it is always better than the successes of the socialist market. Or, as Churchill put it -
The inherent vice of capitalism is the unequal sharing of blessings. The inherent virtue of Socialism is the equal sharing of miseries.
