Reading Hoffman's speculation below, it occurred to me that this mirrors our coevolution with dogs and cats. If we are lucky, AI and LLM will follow the path of dogs as coevolved companions. I hate to think about our future if AI and LLM follows the path of cats.
The question is no longer whether large language models could be useful, but how quickly they might transform the economy.
