The truth will out

I am not seeing any coverage other than this article from Reuters.  From Exclusive: FBI finds scant evidence U.S. Capitol attack was coordinated - sources by Mark Hosenball and Sarah N. Lynch.  

WASHINGTON, Aug 20 (Reuters) - The FBI has found scant evidence that the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol was the result of an organized plot to overturn the presidential election result, according to four current and former law enforcement officials.

Though federal officials have arrested more than 570 alleged participants, the FBI at this point believes the violence was not centrally coordinated by far-right groups or prominent supporters of then-President Donald Trump, according to the sources, who have been either directly involved in or briefed regularly on the wide-ranging investigations.

Democrats twice attempted, unsuccessfully, to impeach Trump.  The second time in the closing days of his administration when the impeachment, successful or not, would have no consequence other than as political theater and campaign leverage.

Since the January 6th riots, there has been a steady effort by both the mainstream media and Congressional Democrats to cast the uncoordinated riots as a violent insurrection despite there being:

Only a single violent death when a Capitol Hill Police officer shot an unarmed retired Air Force demonstrator.  There were a couple of heart attacks, a suicide, a drug overdose, and a stroke death but all those incidental to the riot.

Police found no guns or similar weapons among the rioters.  

Suspects have been held for nearly a year with no charges laid.  Those charged have faced minor charges such as trespassing.  Lots of videotape evidence has emerged showing many demonstrators being admitted to the Capitol by police officers.  

Despite all this, Congressional Democrats and their MSM allies, have insisted that the January 6th riot, with far fewer deaths and much less property damage than the post-May 25th riots all over the US and which were characterized as mostly peaceful, was a deadly violent insurrection. 

It is all political theater and posturing, not reality.  Both the impeachments and the Insurrection claim - Nonsense.

I am confident that there were Antifa agitators and other groups hoping to exploit the situation.  I am certain there were individuals who assaulted a handful of police officers.  I know that there was some property damage.  All such individuals should be prosecuted as should all the participants in the post-May 25th riots.  We are a people who respect the rule of law and our equality before the law.  The law should not be manipulated for political purposes or political gain as seems to be occurring in this case.

And now, it seems, the FBI is acknowledging the same.  

But so far prosecutors have steered clear of more serious, politically-loaded charges that the sources said had been initially discussed by prosecutors, such as seditious conspiracy or racketeering.

The FBI's assessment could prove relevant for a congressional investigation that also aims to determine how that day's events were organized and by whom.

Senior lawmakers have been briefed in detail on the results of the FBI's investigation so far and find them credible, a Democratic congressional source said.

But one source said there has been little, if any, recent discussion by senior Justice Department officials of filing charges such as "seditious conspiracy" to accuse defendants of trying to overthrow the government. They have also opted not to bring racketeering charges, often used against organized criminal gangs.

Senior officials had discussed filing such charges in the weeks after the attack, the sources said.

Prosecutors have also not brought any charges alleging that any individual or group played a central role in organizing or leading the riot. Law-enforcement sources told Reuters no such charges appeared to be pending. 

It seems increasingly clear that the whole January 6th Violent Insurrection claim was simply untrue and never had the evidence to sustain the accusation in the first place.  A riot at the Capitol holds no candle in terms of undermining our system of government to the moral crime of a political party and its media allies stoking an enormous lie for political gain.  A lie which turns out in the end to be entirely cut from whole cloth.
