Britons culturally misappropriating the Romans

The tweet itself is only mildly interesting, the real substance is the light it sheds on historical repurposing.  Done with architecture, building materials, and in this case, statuary.

What it is truly mystifying and amusing is Twitter's safety rails for my fragile and weak intellect.  They have for some while been selectively flagging material which they believe to be misinformation or disinformation or simply unacceptable information.  Usually it is Covid-19 related or political in nature (don't say bad things about repressive regimes.)

You picture rooms of part-time volunteers from the local university's Socialists of America student group, flagging things they don't want you to know.

I retweet the news about the repurposed Roman statue from Minerva to Alfred the Great and I get

????

What is the misinformation or wrong-think here?  Are they concerned that the Britons culturally misappropriated the Romans?  Perhaps it is some sort of trans issue given that it is a female base statue repurposed for a male figure?  Is it simply that there are already too many white male statues?

Hard to tell.  These people need help.
