This only works if your calculus is based solely on Democrat Senators and Representatives. But since Congress includes both Democrats and Republicans, Sanders math should reflect:
Senate - 52 Senators Against the bill, 48 For.
House - 225 Representatives Against the bill, 210 For.
Sanders is basically saying that the majority cannot be allowed to defeat the minority which is contra every democratic norm. Our Constitution is built on layers and layers of protections of minority interests (however defined) but we still live with the pragmatic reality that the majority wins.
And it sounds like Sanders finds that unacceptable.
Astonishing.
