After the Battle of Marathon (490 BC), Miltiades offered his helmet to Zeus. On the helmet you can read the inscription: "ΜΙΛΤΙΑΔΕΣ ΑΝΕΘΕΚΕΝ ΤΩΙ ΔΙ" which means "Miltiades dedicated this to Zeus"
