You could spend a long time on the Reddit map of state mottos.  The fifty states have mottos in eight different languages:

English

Latin

Greek

Spanish

Italian

French

Hawaiian

Chinook

And of course the comments are occasionally magnificent.

Montanan 1: "Does anyone speak Latin? We've got to submit this in like 10 minutes..."

Montanan 2: "Well...not Latin, but Latin adjacent?"

Montanan 1: "Whatever, just write something that everyone will think makes us sound rich, or something."

Montanan 2:  Oro y plata (gold and silver, in Spanish)
