Riot Dogs of the World Unite!

That's quite the "riot dog" rabbit hole I fell into.  The things I didn't know that I did not know about.

It starts with:

A street dog in Chile, Little Bull, is wounded by police in a riot.  He participates in many riots, always with the rioters and against the authorities.

After his wounding, he resists efforts to capture him and get him veterinarian treatment.  Failing that, his many admirers organize a "protest," marching in the streets.  Little Bull, as usual, joins them.  The protester's march leads him to a vet's clinic where he is treated.
On his release:
Apparently there is a history of admired riot dogs in Chile.
His name was Negro Matapacos, Black Cop-Killer.

There is also Loukanikos The 'Riot Dog' from Athens.
