Percipience
per·cip·i·ence
/pərˈsipēəns/
noun
good understanding of things; perceptiveness.
"age has not impaired his percipience"
A lovely word which I rarely seem to encounter anymore. Don't know if that reflects a change in my reading tastes, a decline in writing quality or simply a difference between English and American writers.
