Americans are known for their patriotism and community spirit. They always pitch in to help others in need. Ann Althouse has a dramatic example of this, originally videoed by Philip Lewis.
A ride at some county fair becomes dangerously unstable and at risk of collapsing to the ground. You can see individuals strolling the fairgrounds, hesitating, stopping and beginning to process what they are seeing. Then first one guy and then several groups of men start running over, climbing on the railing of the ride to provide a counterweight, stabilizing the structure until those on the ride can come to a halt and get out.
