From Blue funk: US ‘satisfaction’ takes deepest dive ever recorded by Paul Bedard based on data from Gallup. In particular, U.S. Satisfaction at 11% in Early January by Frank Newport.
You always have to be careful with Gallup data. They do a decent job but it is inherently noisy. You have to look for sustained large changes to pick up real changes in public opinion. This data is too early for that but it is so contrary to the messaging of the Mandarin Class of media, academia, and deep state to overlook.
And of course some portion of the drop in satisfaction from January 2020 to 2021 is certainly due to the government responses to Covid-19. More precisely, the consequences of the government's responses to Covid-19.
But in an election in which Democrats took seats in the Senate and took the White House, one would expect some rise in satisfaction from Democrats. Instead, their satisfaction has declined as well, but at a slightly lower rate.
