Oddly variant results

From NPR/PBS NewsHour Marist Poll. From January 19th.

I am skeptical of these fine-granularity polls. They are way too underpowered (1,003 participants) for the level of granularity with which they are reporting.

Still, rather like reading a fortune cookie in which you have no belief, they are a fun past time even if they are unreliable.

Still, within their own definitions, it is interesting to see some items which are surprising.

For example, Republican Women support Trump to a greater degree than Republican Men. Granted it is only one percent, 83% versus 82%, but still, that is so starkly against the MSM narrative that it is rather arresting.

Another anomaly are the results by race.
White 40%
African American 11%
Latino 50%
Greatest support among Hispanics? That is not what we see in the headlines.

It is reasonably notable that there is also relatively little variance by age cohort which I think is marginally surprising.

Anyway, not momentous and I still view these types of polls as exceptionally low reliability but it is still interesting to see oddly variant results.
