From stone age to modern age in one life span

A truly remarkable life story, that of Wooden Leg of the Northern Cheyenne. At 18 he participated in the Battle of Little Big Horn, June 25th-26, 1876, in which 258 members of the Seventh Cavalry including Lieutenant Colonel George A. Custer and his entire command died.

What caught me by surprise was that Wooden Leg lived until 1940. What a span of change he witnessed from stone age nomadic life to the modern state with highways, cars, commercial flight, phones, etc.
