However, it was an unsuccessful experiment. They were as Mandarin Class as ever and it was painful watching MM either get slaughtered in the comments from all the open, inclusive and tolerant readers, or watch her try and ratchet down her reality content in order to not shock and awe her new readers. No point in spending my money on such a poisonous, error ridden and ideologically blinkered media outlet. No matter how much I enjoy McArdle's writing.
Fortunately she is till on Twitter but even though she posts several times a day, she never shows up in my twitter feed. Like many offbeat sources. Shadow banning or whatever it is, I clearly don't receive a lot of content which I am signed up to receive.
But you can, of course, go directly to her feed. Not feasible when you follow some hundreds of writers but still, it can be done on an individual instance.
It occurred to me today that I had not seen anything from her in forever, so I went over to her account. Good catching up on her takes on things.
This wonderfully direct synopsis made me snort. I miss her humorous style.
Europe has neatly solved this problem by being really dense and having a lot of streets that were constructed centuries ago. America neglected to size its urban centers to the span of a donkey's hind-quarters, so it's going to be harder to get folks out of cars.
