Tragic ironies here. The 1922 population exchange was not Turkish-Greek. lt was Muslim-Christian. Countless Turkish-speakers were sent to Greece and Greek-speakers to Turkey. At least for a while, Greece allowed remaining Muslims to have a Turkish identity. Now its back to 1922. https://t.co/3NEq6pS6pd
