Counter ignorant poisonous incoherence with humorous art and song.

It is so tempting to get sucked into the arrogant and ignorant inanity of the posturing Mandarin Class that it takes real effort to maintain focus on real problems and real solutions rather than slip into the performance art of caring.  The recent instance was a piece related to Mara Gay, a member of the New York Times editorial board declaring her very fragile grasp on reality.  She lives in Manhattan and travelled to the depths of deep red . . . (checks the transcript) . . . Long Island.  She claims a remarkable ability to read minds and interpret evidence free form style.

She believes there was an insurrection despite the rapidly emerging evidence to the contrary.

She asserts that tens of millions of Americans believe their rights are under threat by the simple virtue of having to share the democracy with others.

She believes most Americans see Americanness as the same as Whiteness.

We have to figure out how to get every American a place at the table in this democracy.

We have to figure out how to separate Americanness from Whiteness.

"I was on Long Island this weekend (Memorial Day weekend) and was really disturbed.  I saw dozens and dozens of pick-up trucks with expletives against Biden, with Trump Flags.  In some cases dozens of American flags.

Which is also disturbing because essentially the message is clear "This is my country, this is not your country.  I own this."

Many democrats and even journalists are not on board with acknowledging the problems with exclusion.

Many Trump voters will not get on board with democracy.

She is carrying a huge burden of racist views, ignorance, intolerance, and authoritarianism.  She is the very model of the New Yorker cover art mocking the narrow and constrained world of Mahattanites.

Here is Mara Gay emitting a cloud of words attempting to convey something, and blind to the racism, hatred, authoritarianism, ignorance and disrespect she is conveying.  There is no logical sequence, thought, or integrity to the stumbled proclomations.

We do need to fight back against this racist, authoritarian, communist drivel.  But what an unpleasant task.

Perhaps the best weapon in simply joyous art, celebration and mockery.

Such as The Offended Song by Buddy Brown.
