I'm Not in Love by 10cc

One of the pleasures of growing older is the opportunity to fill in context to events or circumstances from earlier in life.  

Once I played this song, I'm Not in Love by 10cc, I of course recognized it.  It was released the spring of my sophomore year when I was attending boarding school in East Anglia, England.  Just one of those big hits you are aware of but don't pay much attention to.

I am not sure I ever paid enough attention to decipher the lyrics.  It was pleasant background noise.

I now discover from Wikipedia it was not only a commercial success but a critical one as well.  

Reading the summary of the story's origins, I of course had to wonder, did this song reflect a true love?  The Daily Mail reports a 54 year marriage, suggesting that even though there is a feel of sarcasm in the lyrics, there was the genuine thing in the marriage.  Rather a charming article.
