History

It looks idealized and fake but I lived in England in the mid-1960s.  Heating was hard (coal) and expensive so everyone dressed warmly for the cool environment.  All the time.  Kids helped adults.  Certainly parents as in this picture but known adults (relatives, friends of the family, etc.) as well.
