Let’s go, tis the season!

Poetry on topics of the day used to be a reasonable mainstay for the avid reader.  It was out there.  Much of it ephemeral but some became classics.  

It has been a long time since I have seen an example until today from Kristen Mag.  

We’ve now heard from Fauci

His statement deposed

Into hundreds of pages

All freshly exposed

He evaded and dodged

As we all had expected

And denied any part

In the lab that infected

Despite prior statements

And awareness of all

He answered most questions

with “I don’t recall”

He refused to admit

Censorship with big tech

But we all know what happened

Come on, what the heck?

Fauci sat there so smugly

A denial so haughty

An attempt to discredit

Bhattacharya - Jay!

You think we believe

Tony Fauci? No way!

Government silenced

True voices of reason

So bring on the trials

Let’s go, tis the season!

We gave him a chance

Ample questions were raised

But instead of confession

China’s lockdown he praised

To mimic such cruelty

Restrictions so dire

Go away Mr. Fauci

Hurry up and RETIRE!

I hope we see more of this.  It is not high art but it is a wonderful revival of an old tradition.
