Poetry on topics of the day used to be a reasonable mainstay for the avid reader. It was out there. Much of it ephemeral but some became classics.
It has been a long time since I have seen an example until today from Kristen Mag.
We’ve now heard from FauciHis statement deposedInto hundreds of pagesAll freshly exposedHe evaded and dodgedAs we all had expectedAnd denied any partIn the lab that infectedDespite prior statementsAnd awareness of allHe answered most questionswith “I don’t recall”He refused to admitCensorship with big techBut we all know what happenedCome on, what the heck?Fauci sat there so smuglyA denial so haughtyAn attempt to discreditPlaintiffs A. KheriatyM. Kuldorff, J. HinesBhattacharya - Jay!You think we believeTony Fauci? No way!Government silencedTrue voices of reasonSo bring on the trialsLet’s go, tis the season! We gave him a chanceAmple questions were raisedBut instead of confessionChina’s lockdown he praisedTo mimic such crueltyRestrictions so direGo away Mr. FauciHurry up and RETIRE!
I hope we see more of this. It is not high art but it is a wonderful revival of an old tradition.
