The Escrick Ring - Found near Escrick in N. Yorkshire by a metal detectorist in 2009, it was reported via the Portable Antiquities Scheme and acquired @YorkshireMuseum. C5th to C6th in date & possibly Merovingian in origin, the ring may have been a diplomatic gift. #FindsFriday pic.twitter.com/lcwIcWP8Ws
