The story of Crepereia Tryphaena, a young Roman lady ca. 20 yrs of age is a tragic one. She is thought to have died shortly before her wedding (2nd cent CE). This is her ivory doll and ring with the word “Filetus” upon it, maybe given by her betrothed. Link in comments. pic.twitter.com/pa7flQJygJ
