What the heck is going on?

What is going on with this campaign?  These are such obvious and blatant self-goals.  From Joe Biden Resurrects False College Claim That Helped Ruin His 1988 Presidential Run by Mollie Hemingway.  And how does the MSM press not notice?

I remember this incident.  Biden was seen as a serious but fly-weight contender and this plagiarism sank his campaign with hardly any debris left visible.  He simply disappeared back into the inner chambers of the Senate.

Read Hemingway's article for the details.  Basically, in 1987 Biden lashed out at a campaign stop when asked about his education.  He made multiple claims about his academic career which were incompatible with the factual record.  More to the point, it was an emotional and inappropriate response by someone on the campaign trail.  

Somewhat later, he was busted when it was discovered he had lifted several lines from an autobiographical speech by British politician Niel Kinnock, one of the leading lights in the British Labour party.  Most of Biden's lifted lines which were true for Kinnock, were not true for Biden.  There was no come-back for this inability to stay within the lines of reality and truthfulness.

All of which Biden publicly acknowledged as he closed down his campaign.  

I know I have posted sometime in the past few months about the carelessness of creating recollections of Biden's past plagiarism and untruthfulness.  To no avail apparently.

Last night at some rally Biden once again went with:

"Guys like me, the first in my family to go to college... we are as good as anybody else, and guys like Trump, who inherited everything and squandered what they inherited, are the people I've always had a problem with"

We have seen this movie before.  We know from thirty some years ago that he actually was not the first in his family to go to college.  There were several aunts and uncles and certainly some in his mother's ancestral line who attended college.  

How can he be repeating the same disastrous lies again?  There were manifestly untrue the first time.  They are still manifestly untrue.  These aren't small errors.  How can he be repeating the same disastrous lies a third of a century later?

Is his campaign wanting to tell the public that he is a serial and persistent fabulist or are they trying to forefront is loss of cognitive control.  Something just seems wrong here.  

And how can the mainstream media not catch these so obvious lies? This is not hidden or new news.  History is repeating itself and the press doesn't even recognize it or acknowledge it?

It is not just lying.  It is bad lying.  Obvious lying.
