In 1938, these veterans would have been around their late-eighties to mid-nineties.  Among the boys listening, there are a few who might be still living as nonagenarians and centenarians.  Theoretically we could still hear accounts of the Battle of Gettysburg from those who heard it from the soldiers who were there.
