We should be more explicitly in favour of growth.

The cruel reality that some children are born into a rich place and others are born into a poor place is due to the fact that some countries achieved growth and others not.
Economic growth is what we need to end this injustice. https://t.co/X3q7pAWQ6w
And rather an obvious insight. Which few politicians seem to get.
Want a healthy society? Increase productivity which in turn will grow your economy.
Strip away all the discretionary (i.e. not critical) regulations, all the excess taxes and let citizens prosper. They always do in a free society.
What everyone hates is that growth both improves everyone's lives but it is also inherently unequal. Everyone becomes better off but at different rates. The urge to intervene and ensure more equal outcomes becomes overpowering, politicians start ham-fistedly intervening for nominally good reasons and before you know it, the golden goose is dead and the cycle of poverty begins again.
Just focus on growth and productivity.
